Screenshots and Markdown MCP server for ChatGPT

You need a ScreenshotOne account and access to ChatGPT developer mode. Availability depends on your account and workspace policy.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode.

  2. Open ChatGPT Plugins and select the plus button to create a connection.

  3. Name it ScreenshotOne. Use the public server URL below and choose OAuth authentication when prompted:

    https://mcp.screenshotone.com
  4. Complete the connection and ScreenshotOne’s browser authorization. No ScreenshotOne API key is needed.

  5. Check that the discovered tools include render-website-screenshot, extract-website-markdown, and get-usage.

Use the exact URL above. ScreenshotOne serves MCP at the root, so the /mcp suffix used in some example server URLs is unnecessary here.

OpenAI’s connection guide describes the current developer-mode flow; its authentication guide explains OAuth.

Install the connection from your personal plugins if prompted. In a new Work chat, type @ and select ScreenshotOne. If your ChatGPT surface uses the chat + → More menu, select the connection there. See OpenAI’s plugin quickstart.

Use ScreenshotOne to capture a full-page screenshot of https://example.com.
Show me the image URL returned by render-website-screenshot. If you can
download the image, attach a saved copy for me.

Expect a temporary url in the tool result. An image preview or downloadable attachment depends on ChatGPT retrieving that URL. Open and save it yourself if needed; it lasts up to four hours.

If developer mode is missing, check workspace permissions. If tools are missing, refresh the connection’s tool list and make sure it is enabled in this chat. An OAuth error requires reconnecting the ScreenshotOne account, not adding an API key as an OAuth client secret.

See MCP tool options and manage access.
