Cursor
Screenshots and Markdown MCP server for Cursor
Connect Cursor Agent to ScreenshotOne’s hosted server. You need a ScreenshotOne account.
Configure the server
Section titled “Configure the server”Merge this into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects:
{ "mcpServers": { "screenshotone": { "url": "https://mcp.screenshotone.com" } }}Save the file and restart Cursor if the server does not appear. Open Cursor’s Customize page, find ScreenshotOne, and complete its OAuth connection in the browser. No headers, API key, or static OAuth credentials are required for this setup.
The Cursor MCP documentation describes configuration locations and remote OAuth support.
Capture and save a screenshot
Section titled “Capture and save a screenshot”In an Agent conversation, send:
Use ScreenshotOne's render-website-screenshot tool to capturehttps://example.com with full_page=true. Download its returned imageURL as example-screenshot.jpg in this project and show me the file.Check that ScreenshotOne’s tool was called. It returns a temporary url; Cursor must download that image separately to create a project file. Save it within four hours.
If Cursor cannot find the tool
Section titled “If Cursor cannot find the tool”Check that the server and its tools are enabled in the conversation. A project configuration with the same server name can override the global entry. If authentication fails, reconnect the server; if a file cannot be saved, check Agent’s download and file permissions. Cursor’s Output → MCP Logs can help diagnose connection errors.
